dear friends,
this week’s Odd Preoccupation featured a collage-type episode, most of it with multiple sound sources (spoken, instrumental and atmospheric) fading in and out of each other and basically creating a freaking AUDITORY WONDERLAND. tune in here to see just what the hell i could possibly be talking about:
voices heard in that episode include those of paul bowles, spalding grey, rick moody, john lurie, amelia duende, kelly mark, public works, caroline bergvall, and shelley hirsch. in addition, we pay tribute to our recently appointed poet laureate w. s. merwin (a particular favorite of yours truly), and slappy fills us in at excruciating length on all his many disbeliefs. enJoy!
