St. Idiot Collective: accidents of love and zoology

Posted in slappycast by slappy on June 21st, 2007

dear friends,

this week the Odd Preoccupation was pleased to welcome members of the St. Idiot Collective, a sharp, high-energy collaborative theatrical ensemble that’s one of the younger troupes in Austin. they were here to promote their all-improv show Is That Science? (which, alas, will be long over by the time you read this.) we chat about the history of the troupe, improv vs. traditional theater, the Austin theater scene, and MORE. the SIC also perform some very funny live improvisational comedy right there in the KOOP studio. (part 3 of the show is our regular radio adventure serial, Moon Over Morocco).

Part 4

note: you can and should still check out the mainstage production which Is That Science? was a fundraiser for: Rainbow Family of the Serendipitous Now, or the Orpheus Project. it runs from August 10 to August 19, six shows only, so get tickets while you can!

until next week, i’ll keep slappin’ if you will (and probably, even if you won’t),

love,

slappy
